Welcome to OUT Sports League KICKBALL!

OUT Sports League provides fun, recreation, and social sports league to Tampa Bay's LGBTQ+ community. Our Kickball league is designed to be inclusive of people of skill levels and backgrounds. Whether you've never played before, played way back in elementary school, or are a seasoned pro we offer competitive and social divisions that are a fit for any skill level. 

All of our leagues offer a great opportunity to meet other people in our community in a fun, friendly, and accepting atmosphere. You can join our league as an Individual, with a group of friends, or as an entire team of at least 12 players. LEAGUE INFORMATION

8 Week Standard Kickball Season
Saturdays from October 5 - November 23
Make up date: December 6
Games take place between 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM

This season the league will ask teams and players to declare what division they would like to play in and we will make a schedule and league format based on participating teams.  

A Division - For experienced and skilled teams or players that want to face tougher competition.
B Division - For Intermediate teams or players that are recreational and want to play competitively.
C Division - For beginning or novice teams or players who want a low pressure, social experience.

(Upon registration closure, the league commissioner has the right to merge divisions and change the division level of any team. Teams that are not completed may be supplemented with Free Agents)

- Teams play 8 weeks (6-7 regular season and 1-2 tournament weeks)
- Tournament format decided by the number of teams, some teams may play consolation games.
- Teams guaranteed 1 game per week, but may play additional games subject to field availability.
- Games last 7 innings or until we've played 50 minutes. All games are umpired.
- Following all games we have a weekly after party at Bradley's on 7th to meet other players.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

$50 per Player
League Fee Covers - T-Shirt, Fields, Equipment, Umpires, Photos, Awards, and Weekly After Party!

TEAM CAPTAIN - Create a team of 12+ and invite your friends! Teams that have under 12 players when registration closes will be supplemented with free agents.
TEAM PLAYER - Join an existing team (please only join if invited to a team)
FREE AGENT - Don't have a team? No problem! Register without a team and you can list friends you want to play with. When league registration closes you will placed on a team. 

Want to play with a few friends?
If you have a buddy or a small group of friends who want to play together you can all register as Free Agents. During registration you will be prompted to list player(s) that you'd like to play with. Everyone should register separately and the league will then place you and your friends together on a team.

FAQ

I don't have a team, can I still play?
Yes, register as a FREE AGENT and we will place you with a team.

I will miss a few weeks, can I still play?
Yes, all teams have extra players on them just in case you're absent on a given week. Teams can also use substitute players

How do I make sure my friend and I play on the same team?
During registration there is a field where you can list the friend(s) you want to play with and the league will place you together

I don't know how to play or don't think I'll be very good, should I play?
Yes, we’ll go over the basics, and your team will help you learn! This is a fun, recreational league so you don't need to be a superstar!

Does the league insure their participants?
All participants in all leagues and events are required to have their own insurance. OUT Sports League DOES NOT provide insurance for participants. ALL participants are required to complete a waiver. Any player who does not sign the OUT Sports League Waiver will not be allowed to participate, no exceptions are made. The only insurance provided by OUT Sports League is the required insurance for the contracts to rent and utilize the playing facilities.

I'm not LGBTQ+, can I still play?
Yes, we are accepting to all people as long as you consider yourself an ally to our community. However, we ask that when forming a team that 2/3 of participants are LGBTQ+.
